Placing an Order

Is easy. 

Our homepage has a showcase of our most popular, featured and recently added products which you can click to see item specific information such as dimensions, weight, ingredients and so on. You can also click the little shopping bag icon on the bottom right of each product image thumbnail to add it straight to your cart.

Hovering over SHOP in our main navigation will show you a dropdown of all the product categories currently available on The Turkish Shop. Feel free to browse through these categories to familiarise yourself with our product range. 

On the TurkishBOX page, you can view and pick from our popular selection of pre-designed boxes of Turkish Breakfast, Grocery, Spices, Snacks, Teas, Delights and more. Click ‘What’s in the box’ to see the box contents and add to your basket. 

Order Again - Get The Same Again With One Click

Making it easy if you’re regularly doing your Turkish shopping online with us and you order more or less the same things each time.

Simply go to your account, find and click on the order number (looks like #9345) you would like to re-order again, and just click ORDER AGAIN.

That’s it, everything you purchased in that previous order will be automatically added to your basket again. You can also add or remove items you don’t need in the basket.

How Long Will It Take To Get My Items

Not long.

UK orders placed before 1pm usually take two working days to arrive, at the latest your items should be with you within 72 hours. (Items dispatch the next working day if order is placed on the weekend).

EU orders take 3 to 5 working days, we ship all EU orders on Mondays & some Tuesdays, this is to make sure your items do not wait in courier depots over the weekend ensuring they reach you in the best condition possible.

Items Shipping from Turkey such as Turkish Delight, Coffee, Spices, Teas, Kilims, Fabrics, Peshtemals, Towels, Gourd Lamps etc. may take up to 2 weeks as the Customs clearance times are out of our control. We’ll clearly mark these products with their estimated shipping times in the product descriptions.

How Can I Contact You If I Have Any Questions?

We made it really easy for you to contact us.

As you’re browsing the site, you’ll see an “Online Support” chat box in the bottom right corner of the screen. We’re online between 10am – 8pm. You can still leave us a message outside of those hours and we’ll get back to you as soon as we can. Just make sure you enter your contact details correctly.

Do You Ship Internationally?

For the time being, we ship to UK and most major EU countries. But we are working hard to bring the best of Turkish to the world and will phase in new territories gradually.

Our Shopping Assist Service

We mean it when we say we want to make Turkish goods easily accessible to all, that is why we have a dedicated team to help our disabled and elderly customers who may need assistance with their shopping needs. 

If you know someone who needs help or special assistance with their Turkish grocery shopping, please feel free to get in touch with us and we’ll arrange for their order to be taken in a way which suits them.

Or alternatively, you can place the items they wish to purchase in the cart for them, enter their payment details and shipping address. Just make sure you leave us a note in the “Order Notes” box during check-out. We’ll contact you to confirm a recurring order which will be automatically fulfilled and funds debited from their accounts on a recurring basis. Contact us for more information.

What Delivery Methods Are Available?

Our delivery charges are calculated based on your orders total weight, including packaging. We have three delivery tiers at the moment.

Standard UK Delivery from £4.95

Free UK Delivery for orders over £50

International Delivery from £10.99

How About Items Shipping from Turkey?

Some items which we source from the artisans and traditional workshops in Turkey will ship from Turkey, thus will take longer to reach you than products we stock in the UK. We work with FedEx and PTT AirMail to deliver your goods shipping from Turkey.

These items will be clearly marked and will have shipping information in Product Descriptions.

Please note; Some items may also be subject to customs duties in destination countries which the buyer resides in and is responsible for. The courier company will get in touch with you to inform you of any customs duties incurred and bill you seperately. However, this seldom happens.

We also advise you to carefully inspect the package for any external signs of damage before you accept and sign for it upon arrival.

Faulty Items & Returns

We take every precaution possible to make sure you have the best possible shopping experience with us and enjoy all our products at their best.

However, if you feel the product(s) you receive are faulty or are not happy with them, please contact us as soon as possible so that we can resolve the issue. If need be, we will arrange a Free Return and either offer you a replacement product or refund you.

Please note; Items you are unhappy with must be in unused condition, in their original packaging & return fees are your responsibility. Please ensure you use a signed for, insured courier service. Foodstuffs sales are final unless the product is damaged during transit and/or not fit for consumption.

Temperature Controlled items

We want your Turkish food and groceries to arrive looking and tasting their best. This is why we’ll ship certain items in Temperature Controlled boxes, where necessary. With the use of dry ice or ice bottles, these boxes ensure a controlled, gradual increase in temperature for goods during transit. Most of our products do not require these boxes, except for fresh meat from our Butchers and non vacuum sealed meats and dairy.

We kindly ask you to be considerate of the environment and make sure you recycle at your local recycling centre.

How Are My Items Packaged?

Your grocery items are hand picked and packaged securely in double-wall cardboard boxes to arrive in their best condition.

We instruct our delivery solutions partners to handle all our boxes with care and most items are insured. We also use biodegradable materials when possible to fill air voids so your items are securely fixed in place during transit.

All other items are packaged accordingly to handle most transit hazards.

You may also receive promotional offer leaflets along with your items.

We do our best to source environmentally friendly packaging from sustainable resources kindly ask you to recycle whenever possible.

Payment & Secure Shopping

Your Shopping Bag

Once you’ve placed your items in the basket, hover over SHOPPING BAG at the top of the page and click VIEW BASKET. Here, you can review your items, you can increase/decrease or delete items, make sure you UPDATE BASKET if you’ve made any changes to your order. If you have a Promotional Coupon code, type the coupon code in the top right section and click APPLY COUPON

Once done, make sure you choose the right shipping method from the dropdown menu on the right. Remember, if your order is over £40, Free UK Delivery option will be available. Otherwise choose Standard UK Delivery or DPD Europe 3-5 Days, your total should update automatically. If you’re unsure which option to choose, click CALCULATE SHIPPING and enter your details. 


How Do I Checkout?

Checking out is simple.

Once you have reviewed your basket, at the CHECKOUT page we’ll ask you for your Billing Details. All mandatory fields are marked with an asterisk*, so please make sure you fill them in correctly.

If you want your items to be delivered to a different address, click the Ship to a different address? checkbox and enter the shipping address details in the new section.

If you have any notes to add to your order, make sure you fill them under ORDER NOTES.

Finally, review your order one last time and tick I’VE READ AND ACCEPT THE TERMS & CONDITIONS then click PROCEED TO PAYPAL to make a payment.

Making Secure Payments Using PayPal

Checking out with PayPal is both fast and secure. Payments are processed using PayPal’s secure servers, so we don’t take or store your payment details, in fact we don’t even see them.

If you already have a PayPal account, then all you have to do is sign in to your PayPal account securely, and checkout.

If you don’t have a PayPal account, or prefer to pay with a Credit/Debit Card, click “Pay with a credit or debit card“, enter your bank details and click Pay.

Once your payment is successful, you will receive a Transaction ID from PayPal (which will also be e-mailed to you) and you will be redirected to our website to confirm your order. If this doesn’t happen automatically, then click “take me back to

We’ll also send you a confirmation email saying we’ve received your order. We’ll continue to keep you updated as we process your order and you can track your order using your order ID included in the email we’ve sent you.

What about my Privacy?

We highly value your custom and respect your privacy, so there’s no need for pages of small print jargon.
